In their first site, they opened with only one member of staff and did all the cooking and serving themselves. They feel that Brookwood's success has been borne out of each of them remaining close to their clients and catering teams. A key part of their day to day activitiy is visiting as many schools as possible and talking with our teams and clients.
Kate is the driving force behind any service where Brookwood is appointed. Our very strong food philosophy is a result of her belief in modern food styles, traditionally cooked.
She loves good food and is equally passionate that children should be educated in 'Eating for Life'. She spends a lot of her time personally talking to groups of pupils of all ages about healthy food, using different approaches depending on their age. This resulted in Brookwood leading the way in introducing fresh food - long before anyone else.
Kate also is a business person and works relentlessly to ensure that our client relationships remain the strongest they possibly can. Not many company owners are as well known, or as well liked, by their clients as Kate.
Sue has learned that maintaining good relationships involves being a down to earth people manager who puts her energy into doing what is, in essence, quite simple.
Her tried and tested approach ensures our clients are able to carry on being educationalists, whilst being safe in the knowledge that their catering teams are fully trained and have the ability to provide great food for their pupils and staff.
Graham’s vast experience in contract catering means he knows what works and what children want when it comes to the food on their plate. Overseeing our Business Development, Graham is passionate about highlighting the benefits of what outsourcing the catering provisions can bring to a school.
