Food Development



As pioneer caterers and one of the first companies to bring fresh food back to the plates of school dining rooms, we never stand still when it comes to food development.

Our Executive Chef, Harry Hickland and Head of Food, Donna Franklin are both responsible for ensuring we continue to provide our clients with a healthy and balanced diet using the freshest ingredients available.

When starting a new contract, Harry and Donna spend the opening weeks at the school in the kitchens inducting all kitchen staff in our indepth training programme which includes how to make tasty meals without the use of salt.

Harry and Donna can often be seen in action on BrookwoodTV’s series of “The H Word” which showcases all of Brookwood’s new food concepts and training.
